Specialty Treatment Pools
The CCHN operates a number of pools to provide a means by which uninsured patients who do not qualify for other sources of funding can gain access to certain diagnostic and treatment services. Currently the CCHN is managing five separate pools to provide funding for HIV, asthma, breast cancer diagnostic services, oral health, and mental health. CCHN acts solely as a third party administrator for these programs. In order to access these programs, individuals need to visit a participating community health center. The community health center will determine eligibility for services. Depending on the program, covered services will either be provided by the community health center or by a contracted provider (e.g. specialist, radiology center, or hospital).
