Village Health Nurse Coordinator/RN

Pay: $25.23 to $29.00/hour

Job Summary: Acts as a liaison between the St. Vincent de Paul Health Services and the Village residential areas, including both families and single adults; screens new residents for health care issues, communicates with all departments specific to medical or health needs of residents or staff; develops and conducts health education opportunities identified through Village visits; serves as interim clinic coordinator and triage nurse as needed; coordinates with County Public Health agencies for Tuberculosis and other public health needs on site and acts as mentor for nursing students.

OTHER:

Unrestricted California RN license
CPR and First Aid Certification
Familiarity with Title 22 compliance, as well as OSHA regulations

Skills / Requirements
Minimum Education and Experience: Unrestricted License from the California Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse and 3 years experience as a Registered Nurse. Demonstrated ability to build relationships within a multidisciplinary team, develop trust with medically underserved population and mentor students doing practicum in the clinic.

Market Education and Experience: Unrestricted License from the California Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse, BS/RN(California), Public Health Nurse Certificate 3 years experience as Registered Nurse in a community clinic, 1 year working with homeless population, and 1 year of management/supervisory responsibilities

Preferred Education and Experience: Unrestricted License from the California Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse, BS/RN(California), Public Health Nurse 5 years as an RN in a community clinic, 2 years as a Registered Health Educator, 2 years working with homeless population and two years of management/supervisory responsibilities
